Angelina Jolie Visits Refugees in Turkey (photos)

Angelina Jolie is spreading goodwill in Turkey. The actress, who serves as goodwill ambassador to the United Nations goodwill ambassador, traveled to Turkey to visit Syrian refugees on Thursday.

As she arrived, Jolie was welcomed by a large sign that read “Goodness Angel of the World, Welcome.” According to several reports, Angelina brought food and toys to the Syrians, who have fled to the Turkish border after the government’s crackdown on protesters. She spent two and a half hours talking to refugees and taking notes.

The Syrian government is cracking down on protests demanding the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad. More than 1,200 people have been killed since the conflict began three months ago.

Jolie and her children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, have been spotted all over Malta, where Brad Pitt is shooting his upcoming zombie movie, World War Z.

The Jolie-Pitt clan headed to the Splash and Fun Park for some water park fun. Then, the next day, Jolie was spotted taking her kids to Junior’s Fun and Learn Centre, an indoor play place. The children looked happy, carrying out tons of toys.
