Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Treat Their Kids to a Cajun Alligator Encounter (photo)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in New Orleans at the moment with their kids while he shows off his slicked-back hair on the set of Cogan's Trade, but the actor had an afternoon off recently for a special adventure. Brad and Angelina brought their children on a Cajun Encounters tour to see the alligators — and Brad even posed for a photo with their employee Jeff Rogers!

The snap was posted on the sight-seeing company's blog, along with a wrap-up of the Jolie-Pitts' day. The family of eight "were very gracious and perfect guests on the tour." Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox touched down in Louisiana just last week, and it seems like they're all getting reacquainted with the city their parents have grown so fond of over the years.

Inside Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie's Family Life

The family that sightsees together, stays together.

Roaming New Orleans last weekend, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were just continuing their family tradition of on-the-go together time with their brood of six: Maddox, 9; Pax, 7; Zahara, 6; Shiloh, 4; and 2-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

But the famously globetrotting clan isn't always on the road: With the kids getting older, school schedules have started to take precedence and the family is often based in Los Angeles – where their day-to-day life is surprisingly ordinary.

"The family live in a way that can best be described as organized chaos," an insider tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "Of course it's wild when all the kids are there, and evening tends to be a bit chaotic with dinner and bedtime."

Pitt, 47, and Jolie, 35, "are both good with rules, and there are definitely consequences, like time-outs, for bad behavior," adds the source. "But for the most part the kids all get along."

'Cleopatra' rumored to be played by Angelina Jolie which Conversation Turns To Director David Fincher

What has happened with Sony Pictures' plans to mount an exciting new biopic of Cleopatra, with Angelina Jolie attached as the Egyptian queen, based on Stacy Schiff's bestselling book Cleopatra: A Life? I'm told the director conversation right now is with David Fincher, who just got a Best Director Oscar nomination working with Cleopatra producer Scott Rudin, and who is working with Rudin on the Stieg Larsson novel adaptation The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, also at Sony Pictures.

You'll recall last October that Deadline revealed James Cameron's keen interest in directing a PG-13 3D version of the movie with a Brian Helgeland script, until 20th Century Fox stepped up and got him to commit instead to two Avatar sequels. After that, speculation centered around Paul Greengrass, who wound up instead directing his own script, Memphis, about the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., for Universal, also with Rudin producing.

It's not surprising that the top directors in town are after this gig. As Rudin has described it, this is the first telling of the Cleopatra story from a woman's perspective. Instead of simply being a seductress, as she was portrayed by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 Joseph L. Mankiewicz-directed film, Cleopatra is also a shrewd politician, strategist and warrior, with sexual charisma to spare. The feeling is the role is a perfect fit for Jolie, who might be the only actress right now with the box office might to get such a large film financed. Jolie is very particular about the directors she works with. This would be her first film with Fincher.

I'm told that the Fincher conversation might come down to timing. Sony Pictures wants to get this film under way soon. There are three bestsellers in Larsson's The Millennium Trilogy, and Dragon Tattoo scribe Steve Zaillian is already scripting the second book, The Girl Who Played With Fire. Fincher is expected to return. He is also attached to Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo. There are a lot of conversations going on about this film, including setting a new writer, and whether Cleopatra will be in 3D without Cameron. The studio would not comment on the Fincher conversations, but I'm persuaded it is more likely than not to happen.

Angelina Jolie's brother James Haven finds a girlfriend Ten years after THAT kiss

It's more than ten years since James Haven and his sister Angelina Jolie shocked onlookers with a passionate kiss at the Oscars.

But now Haven has found himself a woman of his own - and the pair seem blissfully happy.

The actor and producer, 37, was spotted kissing girlfriend Ashley Reign in a Burbank parking lot following a romantic meal.

The pair have been dating for 'over two years now', according to a source, who added that the blonde has become his first serious girlfriend.

It was a far cry from the 2000 Oscars when Haven and Joli'es embrace sparked an outcry, not helped by her claims to be 'in love' with him.

He later said of the kiss: 'It was an amazing moment. Yet it was totally misconstrued.'

Now friends of upcoming actress Reign say she is getting so serious with her new boyfriend they are certain she is set to become Jolie’s new sister-in-law.

Speaking from the modest two-bedroom home that she shares with a female friend, Reign said: 'Yes, we do have a great relationship, but I don’t want to talk about it.

'The reason we have such a good relationship is precisely because I don’t talk to the media about James.'

Sources close to the 27-year-old revealed that she has already met the entire Jolie clan.

Haven’s father Jon Voight, 'has taken a real liking to her' and Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt are also said to have warmed to her.

Pitt is said to be particularly supportive of the relationship as Haven had always taken a close interest in his sister's life, but now has his own interests.

A source said: 'Brad is very relieved that James has a distraction to stop him from taking such a strong interest in what Angelina was doing.'

Haven took Reign as his date to the premier of his sister’s movie Salt last year, although at the the time they were thought to be just friends.

As well as going on dates at an Indian restaurant in Burbank, Haven and Reign have also been spotted buying groceries together at the Ralphs supermarket near his multi-million dollar home in Sherman Oaks.

A friend of the couple said: 'They are head over heels in love. Ashley is one of the first girls James has felt serious enough about to introduce to his family and spend some quality time with.

'Whenever they are together they act like teenagers in love and cannot keep their hands off each other.

'It’s really nice to see them so happy. And the relationship has come as a big relief to Brad too, who sometimes felt like James was hanging around them too much.

'Brad always thought James would benefit from having a serious girlfriend.'

Haven, a born-again Christian, is unlikely to move in with his girlfriend before marriage.

Theatre studies graduate Reign continues to live in the downmarket area of Van Nuys and drives an old Ford Mustang which she has had since her youth in Arkansas.

However, the star is deeply committed to Ashley.

A source said: 'A wedding is definitely on the cards for these two in the near future. James’ family have really taken to Ashley and everyone would be delighted if they were to walk down the aisle one day soon.'

Angelina Jolie & The Kids Take Over New Orleans (Photos)

Angelina Jolie and her six children landed in New Orleans Friday evening, and you can see the pictures here on RadarOnline.com.

With Vivienne in her arms, Angelina got off the private jet that brought the family to the Big Easy where they're joining the kids' dad Brad Pitt. He's been there the last two weeks, shooting his next film, Cogan's Trade.

As the Jolie-Pitt kids are getting a little older, their individual personalities are starting to show through. Oldest son Maddox, 9, who has been to several New Orleans Saints games with dad Brad, was wearing a jersey from his favorite team. Pax, 7, carried his own laptop bag!

We also spotted Zahara, skipping along her way to the waiting van, and Vivienne's twin brother Knox in the arms of an assistant.

The family has a home in the city's famed French Quarter, and will reportedly be spending the next several weeks there while Brad works on his crime caper flick with Javier Bardem and Casey Affleck.

Brad Pitt mobster get-up on the set of Cogan’s Trade (photo)

Brad Pitt looks fit even dressed as a cheesy gangster. Sporting a full goatee, a V-neck black tee with a gold chain and a leather blazer, we really shouldn’t be digging this fashion combo, but somehow Brad can pull even this look off.

The actor was spotted on the set of his latest flick, Cogan’s Trade, which co-stars Javier Bardem, Sam Rockwell, Casey Affleck and Ray Liotta. As he has a house in New Orleans, where the film is shooting, Pitt’s partner Angelina Jolie and their brood of six will soon be joining him in between scenes when Jolie wraps her directorial debut – a love story between a Serbian man and Bosnian woman during the war in the Balkans.

Brad Pitt Goes to Work as New Orleans Celebrates Mardi Gras

While the city of New Orleans was celebrating Fat Tuesday with parades and plenty of partying, one Big Easy resident wasn't in the French Quarter clamoring for beads.

Just three miles away in a warehouse in the Bywater section of town, Brad Pitt reported to the set of his new movie, Cogan's Trade, which he's also producing. In it, the leading man, who sported an all-black ensemble with slicked-back hair and long sideburns, plays a mob enforcer.

According to one eyewitness, when Pitt arrived back in New Orleans on Monday, "He genuinely seemed excited to be back in town. Brad waived to fans and had a huge smile."

After spending the night at the family's home in the French Quarter, Pitt had an early call time on Tuesday. "Brad arrived on the set bright and early," a source says. "He was in a great mood and sipped a coffee while chatting with the cast and the crew."

Angelina Jolie, who has been working on both Kung Fu Panda 2 and her directorial debut, which she's filmed in Europe, is expected to join Pitt in New Orleans soon, along with their children.

Pitt's Cogan's Trade costars include Javier Bardem, Casey Affleck and James Gandolfini.

"Everyone on the movie is very excited that they get the opportunity to work with Brad," a source tells PEOPLE. "He seems like a very nice guy."

Johnny Depp describes Angelina Jolie a "Shockingly Great Mother"

To the outside world, Angelina Jolie is many things: an actress, a philanthropist, a style icon. But her costar in The Tourist, Johnny Depp, was most taken back by the actress' maternal gifts.

Calling her "a shockingly great mother" while doing press for the Tokyo premiere of their film, Depp admitted that he is floored by Jolie and Brad Pitt's ability to successfully raise six kids, while juggling the pressures of being Hollywood's most sought-after couple.

"With all those kiddies running around everywhere...She and Brad and that life that they live -- she remains this kind of solid, fantastic mother," Depp said. "Through all the weirdness and the paparazzi following them, she maintains this kind of calm and cool that's quite incredible."

While Depp and his love, Vanessa Paradis, have two children of their own, the Rango star joked that he'd "probably be in prison" if he had as many little ones as Brangelina.

We have to agree with Johnny here, as most moms feel accomplished when they've managed to take a shower, get the kids to school and make it to work on time all in the same morning. Now imagine trying to get everything done with hundreds of paparazzi following you to the supermarket!

Angelina Jolie visits refugees in Afghanistan and issues a humanitarian appeal for troubled Libya (photos)

She was noticeably absent from the Oscars this year.

But is seems that Angelina Jolie was preparing for more pressing engagements at hand.

The actress has once again proved her dedication to charitable causes by travelling to the Middle East for humanitarian efforts.

Today the 35-year-old was in Kabul, Afghanistan, as part of her work as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for refugees.

She was meeting with those struggling to survive and adjusting after years in exile, including a mother-of-eight and one of her sons at their makeshift home at Tamil Mill Bus site.

In a moving picture, the actress - with her hair wrapped in a headscarf in a sign of respect to Muslim customs - stroked the toddler's head.

The day before Jolie presented education tools to a local head teacher and some schoolgirls in a village outside of Kabul.

Chatting with the young girls she smiled and showed them a poster in Arabic.

According to the UN, she was visiting the site where she will fund a new girls primary school.

Whilst in Kabul, Jolie has also been vocal about the struggled in Libya and Ivory Coast.

She issued an appeal on behalf of the UN for the tens of thousands of people affected by the escalating despair in the areas.

The United Nations is calling for protection for individuals exiled by conflict in Libya, including thousands of refugees and asylum seekers unable or trying to leave the country for neighbours, Egypt and Tunisia.

They are also asking that all sides protect the human rights and safety of civilians trying to flee to Liberia, whilst clashes continue in the Ivory Coast.

'As we witness these newest crises unfold in west and north Africa, it is critical that all parties respect the fundamental right of people in danger to flee to safety, whether civilians caught in conflict in their own country or refugees and asylum seekers caught in new conflicts,' Jolie said in a statement.

'All I'm asking is that civilians be protected, and not targeted or harmed.'

It is unknown whether Jolie's partner Brad Pitt has accompanied the mother-of-six on the trip.

The 47-year-old actor was last spotted in Los Angeles on Monday, after arriving at LAX airport.

He was seen proudly showed off a new gift from Jolie - a diamond pendant engraved with a microscopic love message.

The actress commissioned London-based jeweller Robert Procop to make a diamond pendant for him — worth a hefty six-figure sum — engraved with a note that is not visible to the naked eye.

Angelina and Brad have been together for five years.

Together they have six children, including adopted son Maddox, nine, from Cambodia in 2002, Zahara, six, from Ehtiopia in 2005 and Pax, seven, from Vietnam in 2007.

They also have three biological children - four-year-old Shiloh and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
