Angelina Jolie Issues a plea for Pakistan

The Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt are renowned all over the world not only for their movies but also for their off-screen humanitarian efforts. Jolie is a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador herself and she has done a lot for the down-stricken countries in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Recently when Floods ravaged Pakistan and left millions of innocent people homeless, Jolie donated a huge sum of money for the flood-relief. Jolie also made a Public Service Announcement that urged people from all over the world to donate money for the flood-stricken nation. The ‘Salt’ star said that Pakistan is going through a social and economic catastrophe and as human beings we should cast our differences aside and stand by the people of the country. Thousands of innocent lives have been lost in the floods already and rescue efforts have come to a grinding halt due to the shortage of funds.

The video shows Jolie urging people to donate money and pledge their support for the deprived country. Jolie further said that this is not just a humanitarian crisis and it surely needs the attention of the entire world. So follow Jolie’s lead and contribute to the fund right away.
