Brad Pitt's Inglourious Basterds Blitzkriegs Box Office With $37.6 Million Debut

Brad Pitt proved he is still A-list box office gold, leading his newest flick, Inglourious Basterds, to a dominating $37.6 million domestic debut this past weekend.

The graphic film, directed by the quirky Quentin Tarantino, tacked on another $27.5 million worldwide, bringing its total intake to a rock-solid $65.1 million opening.

Rounding out the top three was the late summer sleeper District 9, earning $18.9 million, while G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra took third with $12.5 million.

New Court Papers: Angelina Jolie's Mother Left Most Of Her Money To Grandchildren

Angelina Jolie's mother left $100,000 each to Zahara, Shiloh and Maddox, court papers filed in Los Angeles on Monday reveal. View Court Documents Here.

Marcheline Bertrand died in 2007 and Angelina and her brother James Haven were co-executors of the estate. They filed the final paperwork which revealed Marcheline also left $25,000 to her sister and brother and nephews.

In the will, Marcheline wrote: "I give the residue of my estate in equal shares to my beloved son James Haven, and my beloved daughter, Angelina Jolie."

Her estate was worth approximately $661,000.

EXCLUSIVE: Dr. Drew On Brad Pitt Quitting Smoking Pot Because He Became A Dad

Dr. Drew Pinsky -- board certified addiction specialist & host of Celebrity Rehab -- has some advice for actor Brad Pitt who recently revealed to Bill Maher that he no longer smokes marijuana because he became a father.

Dr. Drew tells RadarOnline.com exclusively, "You have to wonder how much pot Brad was smoking. Was it a chronic problem? I don't know. But to the extent that he had to quit because he felt it was interfering with his parenting abilities is bothersome."

Drew says the number one mistake parents make is admitting to their children that they did drugs. "I see it all the time with my patients. Parents tell their son/daughter that they did drugs, and then they warn them about the hazards of drugs. But in the child's adolescent mind, it's hypocrisy. Their parents did it, and they are ok." Dr. Drew says the only time it's acceptable to tell the children is if they, the parents, are in recovery.

Drew has specific advice for daddy Pitt when one the members of the Brangelina brood inquires about his pot smoking days. "Don't lie to your kids. The horse is out of the barn. Here is what I would tell him (Brad Pitt) to say I wish I hadn't said that, it would have been better for you to not know what I did or didn't do. The fact is why is here is why I think you shouldn't do it, or I would say I was so badly addicted I had to struggle with it, to stop to make sure I was available to parent you. It's an unusual situation with this public conversation."

Another concern Drew has for the Pitt children, are all of the moves the family makes. "Multiple moves are very destructive for kids. I can't say it's necessarily going to harm them. They never develop any stable relationships with their peers. It's very traumatic on many levels. A couple of VH1 programs coming up, some of the patients have moved 20 or more times."

Brad Pitt – he’s an actor, humanitarian, & super dad… but Mayor?

Responding to a wave of bootlegged shirts circulating the New Orleans area, touting noted Hurricane Katrina philanthropist Brad Pitt, for mayor of New Orleans, the actor told NBC’s Anne Curry Wednesday he wants no part of the job.

"I'm running on the gay marriage, no religion, taxation and legalization of marijuana platform," said the gorgeous A-lister, speaking inside a Big Easy home his organization, Make It Right, rebuilt. "I don't have a chance, no -- that's not when I do best."

The actor, now the public face of rebuilding efforts since Hurricane Katrina devastated the area four years ago, said he wants to bring 150 homes back to life by 2011. He boasted that the eco-conscious 15 homes Make It Right has erected in the area makes it "greenest neighborhood in the United States, already."

He said this organization is focused on "solving problems for an area and coming up with the solutions for how we live."

"I want to see this through, it means something to me ... we'll take donations, we can use em -- makeitrightnola.org," he said.

Brad Pitt ‘Open’ To Doing Kids Film With Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt might be currently starring in the gritty Quentin Tarantino-directed “Inglourious Basterds,” but the actor told Access Hollywood he’d welcome the idea of making a movie his children could see – and he wouldn’t mind sharing the screen with partner Angelina Jolie.

“It’s outrageous!” Brad told Access’ Maria Menounos on the red carpet of the “Basterds” Hollywood premier, referring to the World War II movie about a group of soldiers hunting Nazis.

“Will [you] ever do a kids movie together, so that [your children] can enjoy something?” Maria asked Brad and Angelina, who both looked stunning in matching head-to-toe black ensembles.

“I don’t know… we’ll see what comes up,” he said. “We’re open… we’re open for anything.”

The father of six told Access his kids enjoyed him bringing his “Basterds” accent home from the set.

“Actually, my son picked it up,” he said of the Southern drawl he uses as Nazi hunter Lt. Aldo Raine. “He’s pretty good at it, an Asian with a Tennessee accent, it’s pretty fun!”

Angelina accompanied Brad to the Hollywood premiere of his new film, but let her man hoard the night’s spotlight.

“I’m letting him do interviews tonight,” Angelina, who rocked a strapless black leather dress, told Access. “But, it’s nice to be here!”

Super couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie walked arm-in-arm on the red carpet Monday night at the Hollywood premiere of his latest movie, Inglorious Basterds.

The always dashing Pitt -- wearing aviator sunglasses and sporting a mustache with a salt & pepper goatee -- held onto his lady love who dazzled with a form fitting black leather dress.

Inglorious Basterds --written and directed by Quentin Tarantino -- is set during World War II. It tells the story of a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as The Basterds who are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.

The film opens Friday, August 21.

New Sculpture - Angelina Jolie Nude And Breastfeeding

Angelina Jolie has been nude on screen and in photographs taken by her partner Brad Pitt. Now the mom of six has been immortalized in bronze, undressed and breastfeeding her twins.

The life-size statue, called Landmark for Breastfeeding, is by Daniel Edwards, who said his aim is to encourage more women to nurse. He was inspired by Brad's photo of Angie breastfeeding that ran on the cover of W last year.

The twins, Vivienne and Knox, turned one July 12.

The statue will be on display at the Mainsite Contemporary Art Museum in Norman, OK beginning September 11. Then it's off to London.

Brad Pitt Shares Sexy Secret & Talks Gay Marriage

Brad Pitt recently opened up one of his secrets to keeping the romance alive with partner Angelina Jolie- and it's straight out of Hugh Hefner's playbook!

"[It's] a great place for sex," Pitt told Parade about the secret stone grotto behind the waterfall in his pool.

Pitt got a little more serious when the topic turned to marriage, reiterating his stand that he would not walk down the aisle until everyone had the legal right to.

"I have love in my life, a soul mate ­absolutely. When someone asked me why Angie and I don't get married, I replied, Maybe we'll get married when it's legal for everyone else." I stand by that, although I took a lot of flak for saying it­--hate mail from religious groups," Pitt revealed. "I believe everyone should have the same rights. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I've had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment."

Just in case there was still any doubt on his stand on gay marriage, Pitt happily embraced the idea of any of his own children being homosexual.

"Would it bother me if a child of mine turns out to be gay? No, not one bit. Listen, I want my kids to live the lives they want to live. I want them to be fulfilled. I hope I teach my kids to be who they really are."

Brangelina & Kids Hit McDonalds Twice

Once is a novelty, twice is a different story in the curious case of Brad Pitt and his McDonalds trips.

When last week we saw Pitt with partner-in-crime Angelina Jolie, they loaded up the family SUV and took their brood to the Golden Arches.

Given how well-traveled the youngsters are, its only normal to acquaint them with the American staple fast food joint.

Yet on Sunday, Pitt was spotted again with some of his pack in the car, hitting Ronald McDonald's house after a few hours at Warner Bros studio.
