Angelina Jolie says time with kids goes so fast

The 'Tourist' actress -- who raises Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with her partner Brad Pitt -- says mothers should cherish every minute they can spend with their kids because it goes by so fast.

She said: "Just enjoy every minute of it because it goes so fast and it is the best time in your life. And strap them to you and hang out with them and sleep in the same bed with them and just love every second of it."

The 35-year-old actress also revealed she took on her role in 'The Tourist' opposite Johnny Depp because it would give her time to spend with her children in Venice and admitted she relies on her kids to keep her grounded in Hollywood.

Speaking on 'The Kyle and Jackie O Show' on Australia's 2Day FM, she said: "You just have to focus on the positive side. I got to spend two months in Venice filming which no one gets to do, with a co-star who's so lovely, so it's all hard to say no to.

"We make a point to stay together as a family when we're filming, in this town you've got to. We take turns working so everybody packed up and went to Venice.

"I think some people are affected by fame, I'm lucky that I have a lot of kids who keep me very, very grounded."

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt & Family Spend Christmas in Namibia

Just two days before Christmas (December 23), Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie emerged in Windhoek, Namibia -- at a shopping mall!

Pitt, 47, and Jolie, 35, were snapped with a shopping cart full of toys -- presumably for their six kids, including second-youngest daughter Shiloh, who was born in Namibia in 2006.

Despite their last-minute mall trip, Jolie told Ryan Seacrest last week that she was mostly done with her holiday shopping for the brood.

"I've got it all boxed and ready to go," the Tourist actress said. "I went through it today. I'm trying to get every stocking right and all the wrapping paper."

And the star promised their holiday would be somewhere far-flung: "We're going to travel with the kids and go to a random part of the world," Jolie teased. "We're going to travel and have an adventure, because that's what we love to do."

A few months editing her directorial debut, which she shot in Hungary last month -- and promotional duties for animated sequel Kung Fu Panda 2, out in the spring.

"I'm a little schizophrenic," she joked to Seacrest her wide-ranging film choices, "but somehow it works out."
