Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Make Zimbio's 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples of 2010

The tabloids can't stop talking about Brangelina, so it's no surprise the public can't, either. The beautiful duo ranked #3 on Zimbio's annual list of the 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples this year, thanks to the ever-present interest in their personal lives, not to mention their many career achievements.

Brad and Angelina make a powerful pair (Pacific Coast News)
Brad and Angie really do seem to have it all figured out, don't they? They make millions of dollars per movie but donate most of it to humanitarian efforts. They're some of the most popular names in the biz, and they have a truly precious family to keep them busy (six kids!) Oh, and they are wildly attractive.

For all of the above reasons, Brad and Angelina scored the #1 spot on our 2009 list. Why the drop this year? Let's blame the constant break-up rumors for somehow convincing us that this couple isn't in the paradise they appear to be.

Zimbio's second annual list of the 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples ranks couples based on a set of four criteria: popularity, success, staying power, and attractiveness. Each couple is given a rating of one through 20 in each category and their scores are tallied up to find where they rank

The children, a source says, have been wanting a wedding since they’ve been old enough to understand that their parents are not officially husband and wife. “First it was Maddox, who has begged his parents to tie the knot for years,” the insider says. “Lately, Shiloh and Zahara have been chiming in, and Pax thinks it would just be the coolest thing ever to be a ring bearer.”

Brad Pitt’s Brother Doug Named Goodwill Ambassador of Tanzania

Doug Pitt has something very admirable in common with his brother’s, Brad Pitt, partner, Angelina Jolie.  The humanitarian and entrepreneur was named the first Goodwill Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania yesterday in NYC.

Doug was honored by the country’s President, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete.

On hand to celebrate Doug’s new titles was wife Lisa Pitt, designer Kenneth Cole, Grammy Award winning songstress Lauryn Hill, R&B crooner Anthony Hamilton, Tanzanian NBA player Hasheem Thabeet and his wife, model Millet and Ambassador Mark Green.

“He is natural in a sense that he is a person that has been to the country, knows the country and loves the people,” President Kikwete said. “We are quite confident that he is going to do the job that he’s expected to do and he’s going to do it very well.”

Doug could not be more honored by his new title.

“I think some things choose you and Africa and Tanzania have chosen me, and through this appointment I think we’ll be able to get more things done that are needed for Tanzania and its people,” he said.

Brad and his parents, Bill and Jane Pitt, could not attend the event because of the volcano in Iceland and the ash it has created, grounding flights all over Europe for almost a week.

The A-list actor and his partner Angelina — the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador — recently returned from Bosnia where they were visiting refugees in hopes of finding an end to their sufferings.

Shiloh, Pax Jolie-Pitt Bond Over Ice Cream (Photo)

Shiloh and Pax, out on the town!

On Saturday, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 3, and her big brother Pax, 6, left the confines of the Venice palazzo they share with parents Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and four siblings.

Escorted by grandparents William and Jane Pitt (Brad's parents), the buddies enjoyed the spring sunshine as they hit the Italian city's famed Piazzo San Marco. Grandma and Grandpa Pitt have been staying with the brood at the $6.8 million palace since early last week.

Shiloh and Pax's mission that day: gelato, naturally!

The Jolie-Pitt kids have been enjoying local ice cream -- in cups and in cones -- ever since touching down in Venice in February as mom Angelina, 34, prepped to film The Tourist.

Angelina Jolie Impresses Kids with Stunts!

Angelina Jolie’s thirst for danger should have decreased after having kids, but it's the total opposite ... Jolie loves to do cool stunts to impress her 6 kids!

Just as she did her own stunts in Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jolie is doing her own stunts in her upcoming movie "Salt".
Jolie reveals the details to entertainment Weekly, in their latest issue.

On the other hand, when asked if she’d work with Brad Pitt again, she said that she loves working with him and he’s her favorite actor to work with but the difficult part is finding the right project that suits both of them.

Brad and Angelina's Love Is "Rare," Says Wyclef Jean

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are different than most Hollywood couples, their pal Wyclef Jean tells UsMagazine.com.

"They’re inseparable, and it’s just rare within the universe that you get that kind of love," he told Us at the Keepers Of The Dream Awards in NYC Thursday. "They’re really, really inseparable."

The 34-year-old Jolie -- now in Venice with her family shooting The Tourist -- is "doing well," he added.

He met up with her in Haiti recently.

"I remember my last conversation with her was probably about the baby's [Zahara] hair and how it was rough," he said. "Now they use [hair product] Carol’s Daughter for her."

Jolie -- whose next big screen venture, the spy thriller Salt, hits screens July 23 -- just opened up to Entertainment Weekly about her six kids, saying she wants to do more stunts now that she's a mother.

"The funny thing about having children is that now I am twice as motivated to do a cool stunt because my kids will like it," she said.

Eight months before production on Salt began, she welcomed twins Knox and Viv. But she said, "The push to be physically strong was very welcome at the time."

Brad Pitt: Italian Marble Man

Continuing to keep busy with odd projects, Brad Pitt was spotted out and about in northern Italy on Wednesday (April 14).

The “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” star, along with his architect, visited the Antolini Luigi warehouse in Sega di Cavaion to purchase some marble and other stone for his family’s home in France.

Meanwhile, Pitt’s mother, Jane, and partner, Angelina Jolie, brought an end to the rumors of bad blood between them as they were spotted out on the temporary family home’s balcony in Venice, Italy earlier in the day.

The “Changeling” actress and Mrs Pitt held twins, Knox and Vivienne, as nearby shutterbugs eagerly snapped up pics.

Angelina Jolie Bonds With Brad Pitt's Mom!

Angelina Jolie took a break from shooting The Tourist to bond with her Brad Pitt's mom Jane Pitt.
On Wednesday, the two were spotted with 20-month-old twins Knox and Viv Jolie-Pitt looking out on the family's apartment balcony in Venice. (Jolie, 34, held Viv; Jane held Knox.)

Grandma Jane and Grandpa William (Brad's dad) arrived earlier this week.

The balcony has been a favorite spot for Jolie -- who is not pregnant, despite a new tabloid report -- to pose with her twin babies.
Not every outing has been pleasant.

On Friday, while catching some fresh air, Knox dropped a stuffed toy bunny into the waters of the Grand Canal.
Despite the mishap, Jolie's father Jon Voight recently told UsMagazine.com the kids are "spectacular."

Brad Pitt's Dad Babysits Knox as Brad, Angelina, Older Kids Travel

Apparently there's room for a few more guests at the $6.8 million Jolie-Pitt palazzo in Venice.

Introducing...Grandpa Pitt!

William and Jane Pitt touched down in Venice, Italy last week to visit with their son Brad, his love Angelina Jolie and their six kids.

Over the weekend, however, Pitt's parents were apparently on babysitting duty: as attested by photos at Radaronline, Jolie and Pitt took Shiloh, 3, Maddox, 8, Zahara, 4, and Pax, 6, for a quick trip to the south of France while twins Vivienne and Knox, 20 months, stayed behind.
On Sunday, William and Knox headed out onto one of the clan's favorite spots in the palace: the scenic balcony overlooking Venice's Grand Canal.

Knox wore a black hoodie and clutched a blankie as he showed his grandfather the sites.

In February, Jolie's father, actor Jon Voight, also visited with the family in the ancient Italian city.  Voight, 71 and Jolie, 34, had recently reconciled after a 7-year rift.

"It's nice to have something that's positive!" Voight, 71, told UsMagazine.com of getting back together with his once-estranged daughter. He says their boat ride down the ancient city's Grand Canal was "lovely...the weather wasn't so bad for the journey. It's a very beautiful trip. A lot of fun."

Last Friday, Knox and his famous mom Jolie made a comical blunder while enjoying the view: he dropped his stuffed toy bunny, which plunged into the water below.

Shiloh Pitt? No, she's 'John': Inside the wacky world of Brangelina's 'rainbow tribe'

A daughter who dresses as a boy. A son who had a party in an Iraqi refugee camp... Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are clearly not your average parents

Last week, she was in tracksuit trousers and a polo shirt. The week before, she was dressed in a hoodie. We often see her wearing both fedora and bowler hats  -  and sometimes even a tie.

In Los Angeles, her mother shopped for her in the boys' sections of stores. And when they were in Paris, it was a boutique for fashionable garcons that was picked for an afternoon excursion.

Indulged: Boyish Shiloh (centre) with mum Angelina Jolie and Zahara
Yes, three-year-old Shiloh Pitt, daughter of Brad and Angelina Jolie, has certainly acquired a distinctive style all of her own. And around a month ago, Shiloh's request to crop her long blonde hair was granted, and now she has  -  deliberately  -  a perfect boy's hairdo.
The indications are that Angelina herself is supporting her daughter's tomboy tendencies.

Indeed, Brad Pitt admits his daughter's boyish habits go deeper than just the clothes. For the past eight months, his little girl has apparently answered only to the name John.
She seems to have struck on the name because of her love of the story of Peter Pan  -  where John is Wendy's elder brother.
'We've got to call her John,' Brad told an interviewer, with delighted amusement, noting that when he started to ask, 'Shi, do you want...' she would interrupt with: "John. I'm John."' Brad continued: 'I'll say, "John, would you like some orange juice?" And she goes, "No!"'

Holiday: Brad and Angelina with Pax, Maddox and Zahara on a family trip to Florence last month
This is quite an unusual state of affairs. Some commentators in have even theorised that the child is being used to try to make a political point about gender.

Wendy McKenna, who holds a doctorate in psychology and is on the gender studies faculty at the State University of New York, says that this is unlikely. She contends that actually the cross-dressing phenomenon is fairly common  -  but that her parents' acceptance of it is not.

Ms McKenna said: 'The phenomenon of little boys wanting to dress like little girls and little girls wanting to dress like little boys is pretty common, but it's unusual for parents to go with it if it violates gender norms.'
Indeed, but let us acknowledge at the outset that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are not exactly your average parents. Shiloh, for instance, has already been promised solo lessons in flying aeroplanes by her mother, despite being only three.
maddox
A bit of a do: For his eighth birthday, Maddox was taken to visit a refugee camp in Iraq
And the couple, who have three adopted children and three natural children  -  Maddox, eight, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh and 20-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne  -  seem to be determined to break every convention when it comes to raising their rainbow tribe. It is a prime contender for the title of most unusual family on the planet.

Maddox, for instance, was only five when he secured his mother's agreement to get a tattoo. Together, mother and son actually picked out a Buddhist symbol for 'protection'  -  but were stopped at the 11th hour by objections from Brad Pitt  -  who felt he might be a bit young for body art.
Maddox, who was adopted by Angelina from when he was seven months old, was given some henna tattoos instead. He's being permitted to grow up fast in other areas, though. His fascination with weapons and martial arts is encouraged.

When he was six, Angelina said proudly: 'He's all into war and guns. So for Mother's Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a [pendant for a] necklace, which is sweet. It's really cute.'
When Maddox was seven she talked about having started a collection of daggers for the boy. Angelina told W magazine: 'My mom took me to buy my first dagger when I was 11 or 12, and I've already bought Maddox some.'

She added that the two of them liked to talk about Samurai warriors and how defending someone with violence could be positive. Neither parent seems to entertain the idea that their son might be allowed to retain a childlike view of the world.
For his eighth birthday, Maddox was taken to visit a refugee camp in . Brad Pitt has taken him to see films Avatar and Invictus, both of which are for over-13s. It's said that at home he gets to watch adult-rated movies, too.

What effect might this might have on a young child's psyche? People who have spent time with the family say that chaos reigns in whatever house the children happen to be living in.
The one routine which has been established so far is that for two months every summer they live in a French chateau, cut off from the rest of the world, and they regard it as their one real home.
Bought for almost £50million shortly before the birth of Knox and Vivienne, the sprawling property has three buildings. One is used as a house for their security team, one is for Brad and Angelina, and the other is where the six children have their rooms with their nannies.

Bonding with dad: Brad Pitt with Shiloh, who likes to be called 'John'
Apart from this small example of routine behaviour, the family has spent the past five years crisscrossing the globe.
They have settled in , and in , and called a myriad of hotels a temporary home. Angelina and Brad are periodically absent on film sets or, like this week, on goodwill missions for the United Nations.
They also like to take time out from the family to be alone. Brad has, as is well-documented, struggled with the attention their relationship attracts and will sometimes like to 'kick back' with friends like . He's been known to take off on overnight motorbiking trips when the pressure of being in the spotlight gets to him.

For the truth is that they are without doubt, the most scrutinised celebrity family in the world  -  so much so that when Maddox turned four, Brad and Angelina organised a decoy birthday party, complete with balloons and 'guests', so they could attempt to celebrate the occasion away from the paparazzi.
Brad has been seen drinking heavily, and has said more than once that he is still drunk from the previous night. Tarantino has alluded to Brad's cannabis-smoking habit, which his wife disapproves of.
Angelina, meanwhile, has seemed very frail, particularly since the birth of their twins, Knox and Viv, 20 months ago. She has suffered from depression, and her brother says that at times she has felt too low to eat.
Despite these strains, Angelina continues to go on various charitable missions with the children - taking Zahara and Shiloh to and a trip with Maddox to Iraq last year  -  and is driven to these good deeds by the shallow nature of the movie business.

'You're just making entertainment and it doesn't feel very good at the end of the day to go to sleep... and feel that this is all you are,' she explained.
Since February, the family has been staying at the magnificent Palazzo Moncenigo in while Angelina films The Tourist with , accompanied by their usual retinue of six nannies, three security guards and a chef.

Despite the large staff, it seems there are no house rules, except the children aren't encouraged to make any friends outside of the family circle.
knox and vivienne
Good at preparing Cheerios cereal: Angelina with twins Knox and Vivienne in Venice in March

Maddox likes to speak French, even though the rest of the family, with the exception of his mother, struggle with the language. One former nanny, who quit in despair, says the children will insist on breakfasting on pizza or chocolate.

It's said that all six children have been 'acting out' during the various crises in the Jolie-Pitt relationship. A family friend said: 'They have never done night feeds or any of the daily work of getting the kids into routines. Because of the travelling, it's almost impossible to get children settled when they have jet lag.
'The nannies sit up watching cartoons with the children at all hours of the night, while Brad and Angie sleep in another room.'

The friend adds: 'Brad might suddenly decide to eat pizza with them or he'll take them out for the day. For example they took the twins out in the middle of the night in Jordan last year and fed them ice cream. Because they've built this family so quickly and have taken the short-cut of using nannies, they have never done the potty training stage or the teething stage.'

The six children are home schooled by their nannies  -  Angelina and Brad have boasted that Maddox in particular is 'beyond smart'  -  saying his IQ is off the charts.
Maddox takes piano lessons and is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Khmer. He's also said to be a gifted football player. However, the other younger children's lessons seem to consist of some drawing and reading and watching DVDs.

On arrival at a new rented residence, the nannies unpack and the kids tear up and down the hallways and call room service to order whatever they want. Neither Brad nor Angelina can cook. The one thing Angelina can apparently prepare is Cheerios cereal.
Despite this, Angelina's great ambition is to add further to her family  -  believing 13 children would be a lucky number. It's no surprise, then, to say that Angelina is a woman of extremes. Her own father said, not long ago: 'She has never been normal.' By her own account, she has tried every drug going, has a history of self-harm, and a long fascination with knives.

She has two previous marriages  -  with actors and   -  both of which seem to have been entered and then left virtually on a whim, and there is even a suggestion that, as a teenager, her behaviour was bordering on 'anti-social psychopathy'.
But her chief passion is children  -  indeed there is even speculation that she is pregnant again, and she will readily confirm that they are in the fairly advanced stages of planning a further adoption.
She told an interviewer recently that six children is not enough. 'Oh no,' she said. 'I mean, I know we seem crazy, just bringing them in one after the other, but we do plan.

'We make sure one is absorbed completely into the family before we add another. There are moments when we look at everyone around the dinner table, and it's just crazy, but our family is the greatest thing we've done in our lives.'
One can only wonder which child will next be welcomed into this most peculiar rainbow family.

Pitt, Jolie back Shiloh's tomboy tendency

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly supportive of their daughter's desire to dress as a boy.
Shiloh's request last month to cut her long blonde locks into a short crop was granted by her parents, while the youngster has referred to herself as 'John' for the past eight months.

The Daily Mail reports that Jolie shops for the three-year-old in the boys' sections of shops, explaining photographs which show her wearing a tie, fedora, bowler hats, hoodies and baggy jeans.
Shiloh is among Pitt and Jolie's growing brood of children, which was raised to six in 2008 with the arrival of twins Knox and Vivienne.

Jolie recently said that she would like to have more, adding that she and Pitt have "a plan".
"There are moments when we look at everyone around the dinner table, and it's just crazy, but our family is the greatest thing we've done in our lives," she said.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Montenegro

Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were in the former Yugoslav republic of Montenegro on Tuesday in the medieval coastal town of Budva following a visit to Bosnian refugees.

The owner of the Splendid hotel near Budva told AFP that Brad Pitt knows Montenegro from when he shot one of his first films "The Dark Side of The Sun" there in 1988.
"Brad Pitt told me that he had wanted to show Montenegro to his wife as he had nice memories of Perast, Sveti Stefan and Kotor where he had shot one of his first movies, at the beginning of his career in 1980s," hotel owner Zarko Radulovic said.

"He told me they could bring the kids here for a vacation as they like it and the nature is nice."
The Hollywood couple were in Bosnia on Monday to visit internally displaced Bosnians still living in collective centres, often in appalling conditions, 14 years after the end of the war. Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the UN's refugee agency UNHCR.

The actors are due to fly back to Italy later on Tuesday, where Jolie is filming "The Tourist" in Venice with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who made the critically-acclaimed German film "The Lives of Others" in 2007.

Brangelina rent private Easter island

Hollywood 'It' couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rented an entire island so that their six children could celebrate Easter in peace.

The couple, nicknamed Brangelina by the tabloids, took their children to the Venetian island of San Servolo for a day of Easter activities on Sunday, reported Daily Mail online.

After catching a waterboat to the island, in the Venetian Lagoon, the family set up a picnic on the lawns and soaked up the Italian sun.

Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 3 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 20 months, were amused by a hunt for eggs, carefully hidden by their bodyguards, and a game of football.
After the family day out the couple then left their brood behind and travelled to Bosnia as part of Jolie's role as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.

They planned to visit refugees and tour homes that have not yet been rebuilt, despite war in the region ending 15 years ago.

The expedition came as the 34-year-old actress took a break from filming The Tourist, in which she co-stars with Johnny Depp, in Venice.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has credited her partner Brad Pitt for inspiring her to have children of her own, insisting that she "didn't want to get pregnant" until she met him.

Jolie had already adopted son Maddox, now eight, when she met Pitt, and went on to adopt daughter Zahara, now five, from Ethiopia before she became pregnant with the couple's first biological child, Shiloh, born in 2006, reports contactmusic.com.

They subsequently adopted another son Pax in 2007, before welcoming biological twins, Vivienne and Knox, in 2008 and Jolie admits she was happy just to take in orphaned children, until Pitt convinced her to become a mother herself.

"When I met him...I didn't want to get pregnant. I always wanted to adopt, but I never had the desire of experiencing biological motherhood. He taught me to be more patient and to enjoy everything that exists in the world," she said.
