Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Prepare to Adopt 7th Child

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly ready to expand their family. Sources deny rumors that the couple is on the verge of a split and insists they are enjoying family time at their French chateau.

Before adding to the family, Jolie and Pitt are “spending a lot of quality one-on-one time” with their 6 children – adopted kids Maddox, 6; Pax, 5; and Zahara, 4; and biological children Shiloh, 3; and 1-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Sources say Jolie and Pitt are planning to adopt. “They want to adopt a baby next before [having] a biological one,” an insider reveals.

The couple has not commented on the reports.

Angelina Jolie Starving Herself to Get Brad Pitt’s Attention

Angelina Jolie’s thin frame is the result of her being “extremely manipulative,” sources say. With problems between her and partner Brad Pitt escalating, Jolie is allegedly starving herself to get attention.

“Angelina isn’t stupid and she’s extremely manipulative. She knows that by cutting back on her food, Brad will notice she’s dropped weight and worry about her,” says a source. “She’s so scared he’ll leave that she will stoop to anything to keep him around, even if he stays with her out of pity.”

Jolie and Pitt have not commented on the reports of trouble in their relationship. The couple is currently in France with their 6 children.

Actress Angelina Jolie is losing weight to get attention from husband Brad Pitt, reports are now claiming. The Changeling star, who recently visited a Kenyan refugee camp, is currently looking gaunt and this is reportedly to get attention from Brad, 45.

A source told British magazine Closer: "Ange is shrinking before our eyes and looking skinnier than ever. Brad's trying to get her to have proper meals but she won't listen." The Academy Award winner, who is the mother of six - Maddox, 8, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 3 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 1, is reported to have lost her appetite and eats hardly anything in a day and burns lots of calories looking after the children.

The reports claims that despite Pitt wanting his 34-year-old wife to gain weight, she is determined to stay thin to impress him as rumours about their rocky relationship are still going around.

The source added: "Brad and Ange's relationship has been crumbling for months. She's often in tears and is hoping her ultra-slim figure will get his attention. But the more she clings to him, the more frustrated Brad's becoming."

Angelina and Brad Try for (another) Baby

Angelina and Brad trying for a seventh pint-sized Pitt.

While Nadya Suleman was crucified for her delivery of the octuplets, Jon and Kate Gosselin left to defend each intrauterine insemination, and the Duggars depicted as fertility-meets-faith fanatics, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have largely seemed to escape poor procreation press. In fact, reports announcing, “Brad & Angelina: Trying for a Baby” and “Brad and Angelina Trying for Baby #7!”—often lovingly supplemented with a romantic picture of the duo—seem to leave readers in anticipatory baby bliss, just waiting on their doorstep for the celebrities’ stork. And this reporter can’t figure out why. Sure, they have the money and the means, beauty and careers, live in a house that could shelter a mid-size army, and are de-orphaning children from Cambodia to Vietnam, but aren’t most of the issues still the same? Aren’t there only two parents (minus babysitters) for six children? Twenty four hours in a day? A child’s quality of life to consider?

Reported Us magazine in its recent September 21, 2009 issue, “Two insiders tell Hot Stuff the couples are so strong that Jolie is actively trying to get pregnant. . . . Jolie is taking prenatal vitamins, says a source.” But my personal favorite is when Us magazine queries in its issue: “And how could the A-listers resist adding to their brood when they see how the six little Jolie-Pitts are also enjoying their time in France?” Umm . . . the Octomom? Jon and Kate Gosselin? Sanity? Children enjoy lollipops, should we give them forty? Tots fancy Fritos, should we pour bags down their little throats? Sometimes more is more than just more: it’s mad.

The fact is, let’s pretend for a moment that you have six kids and aren’t on every tabloid leaning on a newsstand, that you aren’t the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, that you don’t own production company Plan B Entertainment, that you aren’t in the midst of shooting Blockbusters or on press tours . . . and that your children sleep eight hours a night. If you use every moment left in the day, this leaves each of your six children 2 hrs. and 40 min. each of your parental attention per day. Quality.

Rich or poor, married or divorced, managing or crumbling, adopted or biological, with the Duggars, Jon and Kate Gosselin, Octomom Nadya Suleman, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: When did we start to breed like rabbits? Are American adults so “enjoying” parenthood that they proliferate? Are we thinking of the children—or are we acting like them?—when we take to the sheets, enter labs, skim sperm banks, or adopt, to create broods bigger that would leave even Mrs. Brady wringing her hands? In short, when did procreation become recreation?

Brad Pitt Loves His Shoes!

Brad Pitt obviously has a thing for the shoes he wore at the Inglorious Basterds premiere in San Sebastian, Spain. Catch the large "BP" stitched in gold into each of the velvet loafers. We're having Peter Lawford flashbacks here!

Brad's director Quentin Tarantino isn't quite so stylishly attired but then again he doesn't have Angelina Jolie to go home to.

Brad and Angie were just included in Vanity Fair magazine's New Establishment list of the most influential people in society and pop culture.

Next up for Brad is Oobermind, his first voice work for an animated comedy - Angelina's already starred in several such ventures. The family-friendly movie which also stars Will Ferrell and Tina Fey comes out November 10.

Is greybeard Brad Pitt turning into Colonel Sanders?

Crowds gathered in the Spanish city of San Sebastian today as fans jostled to catch a glimpse of Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt.

But they could have been forgiven for thinking Colonel Sanders was back from the dead.

The actor, who is in town to promote his film Inglourious Basterds, was barely recognisable, hiding his chiselled features behind a bushy, grey-flecked beard just like the Kentucky Fried Chicken founder.

Brad further played down his good looks by donning a huge pair of sunglasses and an unflattering flat cap.

The dad-of-six is in town with director Quentin Tarantino to attend the 57th San Sebastian International Film Festival, held today.

The film, which is described by Tarantino as ‘a spaghetti western but with World War II iconography’ was released last month and was accepted into the main selection at the Cannes film festival.

It was the only U.S. film to win an award at Cannes this year, earning a Best Actor award for Christopher Waltz.

Brad, who travelled alone leaving his brood and partner Angelina Jolie in France, visited the northern Spanish city of Aviles earlier this month.

The 45-year-old is said to be interested in supporting a building project which will boast an auditorium, sight-seeing tower and exhibition centre.

It is intended to revive the town’s fortunes and is scheduled to open in 2010.

Keen architect Brad is already involved in a project which aims to rebuild homes in New Orleans after it was struck by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Aviles mayor Pilar Varela said: 'He is interested in supporting the project, the cultural as well as the architectural aspects.'

Angelina Jolie, who claims the title as "Most Powerful Actress"*. This is
Jolie's second year at the top spot, she held the title last year with her
beau Brad Pitt. The tide has turned for Pitt though, with Johnny Depp
reclaiming the title of "Most Powerful Actor"* based on his most recent films
including the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

"From wizards and superheroes to vampires and Vulcans, this was a fantastic
decade for Hollywood and Guinness World Records was there to capture it all,"
said Craig Glenday, Editor-In-Chief, Guinness World Records. "If you want to
get a glimpse beyond the tabloids to learn about your favorite celebs or
happen to be a pop-culture trivia buff, this year's book is the ultimate
compendium of Hollywood facts and figures."

Decade", raking in an average of $558 million per film. Watson, on the other
hand, earned the record for "Highest Average Box-Office Gross for an Actress".

its first five days of release. Twilight, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, has

nominated for the annual Golden Raspberry "Worst in Film" Awards a record 30

Angelina Jolie visits "dire" refugee settlement on Kenyan border with Somalia

UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie on Saturday visited Dadaab, the world's largest refugee settlement. Describing the three-camp complex close to north-east Kenya's border with Somalia as "one of the most dire" refugee settlements she had ever visited, Jolie said: "If this is the better solution, what must it be like in Somalia?"

Around 285,000 people live in a space originally designed for 90,000. Led by UNHCR Field Officer Maeve Murphy, Jolie heard about the struggle the agency is facing to contain a humanitarian catastrophe. On her way to visit the new arrivals area, children ran to greet Jolie. A little boy taught her the Somali handshake and children were soon giggling and offering hands for her to grasp.

Jolie met a newly arrived young woman with her three small children, two of them infants. Their distended stomachs and running noses were clear signs of their misery. Sitting down under a tree, Murphy showed Jolie the signs of malnutrition, noting that the family would go to the nearest hospital for care later in the day.

"We walked for days to escape the fighting," the mother told Jolie. Relatives came to join the party, providing relief to the young woman. One spoke English and told the acclaimed American actress, "We need space," adding that the arrival of the young woman was stretching an already overcrowded home.

When Jolie asked if the situation had deteriorated in Somalia, the surrounding crowd said it had become "much worse." The Goodwill Ambassador said she had heard "the situation in Somalia is only expected to worsen in the coming months." Fresh fighting in recent months between rebel and government forces has caused tens of thousands to flee their homes.

Travelling through the Dadaab complex, Jolie looked out of the window of her vehicle at heaps of rubbish. "There is not even enough space for a trash dump, so people live amongst garbage," she said. The car passed numerous water points with jerry cans lined up, waiting for water to arrive. Murphy explained that the huge numbers of people in the camp meant that water could only be given once every two days.

As she walked to meet another family. Jolie noticed a child pulling a water container along by a string. "We have stopped giving water containers that roll because we are so worried about contamination entering the water, spreading diseases like cholera," explained Murphy. Earlier this year a cholera outbreak at Dadaab was contained thanks to huge teams of humanitarian workers. "With up to 7,000 people arriving each month, rain on the horizon, they say it will be impossible to contain the next outbreak," warned Jolie.

Jolie chatted with UNHCR staff as they walked through the windswept, baking camp to meet the next family. Every home they passed was full of people. "There is no space left to offer, so we rely on the refugees to look after the new arrivals," said Murphy.

The visitors stopped at a home cobbled together with branches and plastic sheeting – home to three families. Under the shade of a tree, one of the families sat waiting for Jolie. Zahra, the mother, arrived in the camp last month, loaded into a wheelbarrow with her youngest child, pushed by her exhausted husband. "Luckily we found our old neighbour Anab from [the Somali capital] Mogadishu," she said, nodding to a smiling woman waiting in the doorway of a small room. "We don't have a roof though, just a place to stay," she noted.

Moving over to Anab, Jolie was invited into the small room, shafts of sunlight filtering through the dilapidated roof. After hearing Anab's description of her daily struggle to survive, with 18 people living in her small shelter, Jolie said: "it is amazing that as more and more people come into the camp they continue to be generous with what little they have."

Jolie and her UNHCR guides arrived at the next home to find three families all crammed into a small compound with a young woman lying under some shade, clearly sick. Surrounded by his children, the owner of the shelter, Mahmoud, was despondent. "We get water every two days," he complained. "Since the beginning of this year, I have had to look after two other families here, but with the same space and the same quantity of water."

UNHCR officials said 15 people survive on 100 litres of water every two days, compared to the recommended minimum of 20 litres per person per day. Looking around the compound, Jolie came away from the latrines area saying, "the toilets are already overflowing."

Before leaving Dadaab, Jolie met with UNHCR Representative to Kenya Liz Ahua, who told her: "If we don't get more land [soon], it will be impossible to avert a major humanitarian crisis." Noting that UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres had received assurances in August that land would be allocated by the Kenyan government within a week. "We hope this happens soon," Ahua added.

Asked about her impressions, Jolie smiled warmly. "The Somali families I met today are full of warmth and affection. I wish more people could meet them, then they would have a stronger desire to help."

Guterres said last month that UNHCR would provide an extra US$20 million to meet the needs of refugees and the host community in Dadaab. He called for a massive injection of funds from the donor community. As an emergency measure, UNHCR has started moving around 12,000 new arrivals to a camp in northern Kenya.

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Top Vanity Fair's Establishment List

Vanity Fair's annual "New Establishment" list, highlighting the most influential people in society and pop culture was released Friday, with some of RadarOnline.com's favorites garnering coveted spots on it.

Humanitarian A-listers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took the 8th spot--the only actors (or global superstars for that matter) to qualify in the top ten alongside Wall Street tycoons and politicians.

Salma Hayek's hubby, luxury mogul Francis-Henri Pinault, grabbed the 20th spot.

Lots of star power fueled the 30s, as Bono and Tom Hanks were the 34th and 35th sports respectively. The 38th and 39th spots went to multimedia queen Oprah Winfrey and the very influential George Clooney.

The 40s were dotted with coast-to-coast leading men, as East Coast powerhouse Robert DeNiro came in 47th, while California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was 49th.

Our favorite of all? A newbie to the list, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, whose vampire series has drenched pop culture, getting her the 82nd spot on the list with a rising arrow.
